Membership fee: $50 per year

Member benefits

• 20% off conference fees while your membership is active.

• Listing on our members page (optional).

• Certificate of membership on request.

Getting involved

JAGR is run by a small team of volunteers, and our members help make it work. As a member, you may occasionally be invited to:

• Review submissions to the Japan Journal of Geopolitical Research (JJGR) and other JAGR publications, in your area of expertise. Reviewers are acknowledged each year, and confirmation of reviewing is available on request.

• Lend a hand at the conference in small ways, such as chairing a session.

These invitations are entirely voluntary. You are welcome to decline any request, and doing so has no effect on your membership or benefits.

How to join

Membership runs for 12 months from the date of joining and renews automatically each year. We will email you a reminder before each renewal, and you can cancel at any time. Questions? Contact us at info@jagr.jp.

Existing lifetime members: Lifetime memberships purchased before the introduction of annual membership remain valid. Lifetime members continue to receive all member benefits and do not need to join again.
